1880's SETH THOMAS MANTLE CLOCK BEAUTIFUL & WORKING
Up for your consideration is this beautiful old Seth Thomas Mantle Clock that I was told dates from the 1880's. The clock winds nicely, the chimes sound once on the half hour, and the full number at each hour. I only have one key, and the clock runs a bit fast.
There is a spot above the twelve on the clock face for a smaller key to adjust the speed of the works. I have been unable to find one that will fit the hole in order to adjust the speed down. Other than running a bit fast this clock is quite beautiful and complete.The works have a Hallmark and the number 3 5/8 stamped on them. The number 6511 is stamped into the wooden case back. The metal plate covering the works is embossed ST. This is a beautiful find that will grace any room in your home. Please enjoy the Sale, and don't let this one get away!
