The brass bezel and dial assembly is in nice condition. The brass is naturally age tarnished and the original paper dial is aged, shaded and worn, but is still very nice looking. As stated, this clock runs well, keeps time and gongs properly.
It counts each hour on a mellow sounding antique cathedral gong, i. 1 gong at 1:00, 2 gongs at 2:00, etc.
And announces each half hour with a single toll. It comes complete with a key that fits and the original pendulum. As far as great old clocks go, it would be hard to find one that looks any sharper up on the mantle.
With its attractive ornamental columns, paw feet and lions' heads set against a wood grain background, it is guaranteed to be a great conversation piece. This helps insure that the new owner will have a satifying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final, (with the exception noted below). It is nearly impossible to find one in "mint" condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. If a clock is running properly when it arrives... Thats about the best we can do. We try to describe everything exactly as it is and if we do something wrong, we will make it right. We do not use our computers on Sunday, the Lord's day, but will answer any emails Monday through Saturday and do whatever we can to resolve any problems. Honesty is always the best policy.
