Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine Mantle Clock Running Rare Color Circa 1905. This rather unusual Adamantine clock was made by The Seth Thomas Clock Co. USA in the early 1900's. It is narrower than the standard mantle clock in this style and the color is scarcely seen.

The original signed Seth Thomas movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and serviced, so is in good running and gonging order. The "Adamantine" finish, which is a patented laminate finish from the late 1800's, is in good shape for its age. You should expect to see a little shrinkage at the corners and edges, some cracking here and there and some touch ups, as well as minor denting and scuffs, which is the nature of the Adamantine finish. This clock has a little shrinkage at the corners but overall its condition is exceptional.

It boasts the original paw feet, matching columns, capitals and bases. The brass bezel and dial assembly is in very nice condition. As stated, it runs well, keeps time and gongs properly. It counts each hour on a mellow sounding antique cathedral gong, i.

1 gong at 1:00, 2 gongs at 2:00, etc. And announces each half hour with a single toll on a brass bell chime. It is narrower than the average clock of this style, measuring 12 ½" wide x 11 ½" high x 7 deep.

It also comes complete with the key and pendulum. As far as great old clocks go, it would be hard to find one that looks any sharper up on the mantle. Guaranteed to command attention and be a great conversation piece. This helps insure that the new owner will have a satifying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem.
