Antique Seth Thomas Empire Brass Crystal Regulator Clock, Unusual Pendulum
Welcome to Antiques & Moore! THIS LISTING IS FOR AN ELEGANT AMERICAN SETH THOMAS "EMPIRE" CRYSTAL REGULATOR SHELF CLOCK, c. This nice clock has a metal face that is marked "Seth Thomas". The clock has an eight day movement and strikes on the hour and half-hour with a gong strike. Original gilt metal pendulum with face surrounded by sunburst.
The case has beveled glass on all four sides mounted in a brass case with its original "rich gold" polished finish. The clock's works are marked "Made by Seth Thomas, USA, 48S". Clock was in working condition at time of listing.
Measures 9 3/4" high, 6 1/4" wide and 4 3/4 deep. The case and beveled glass sides are in very good Estate condition reflecting only minor signs of normal wear. The clock's face has some scratches from normal wear (see photos). Have been in the Antiques business for over 30 years and try to describe our items as accurately as possible.
