Antique Seth Thomas PLYMOUTH HOLLOW Weight Driven TRIPLE DECK Column Shelf Clock
SETH THOMAS SHELF CLOCK Seth Thomas, Early Made Plymouth Hollow. 1850, 8-day time and strike brass works, triple deck shelf clock in figured mahogany, with gilt trimmed columns, painted dial, two lower tablets in stencil work eglomise. Comes with original pendulum and crank. Comes with weights, original paper label, 32 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 5.
This is an awesome piece and really very nice to look at. Thank you It strikes on the hour correctly, the clock winds up left and right with the key smoothly as it should. The ropes for the weights look new. Has common age wear such as scratches/scuffs/cracks/flaking and such see pictures for your description. The 2 columns especially on the bottom the gold gilt is cracking can leave it or put some touches on it.Small piece of wood trimming missing on top. (Heavy/Awkward items may take another day). This drastically will cut back delays in the system & resolve questions more quickly.
