Antique Seth Thomas Triple Decker Empire Weight Driven Wall Clock Very Nice
Wood case with veneered finish Brass movement advertised. 8 day weight driven movement & is in good working condition but MISSING the WEIGHTS. We tested it with weights from an og but don't know if we used the correct weights as it didn't keep quite accurate time. Time Case appears to have original finish- has some gloss to it. There's some wear to the finish, especially to gold paint on pillars. There are several tiny chips to the veneer in different spots & 1 sizeable chip to bottom left front veneer. There's a small crack to wood case on right side top & back board is split which is a pretty normal occurance. Dial is hand painted zinc with very little wear but may be smoke stained (you can see the yellow that may clean off but I'm afraid to loose the paint by cleaning) Obviously clock has some age scratches & general show of wear. Glass panes all look good with no visible chips or cracks.
Hand painted panes show very little wear but do show minor loss in a few spots. Hinges & latches are intact. Key & pendulum weight are included & I believe original.
Ropes to hold weights look newer. Paper label is in pretty good condition still but shows wear along outside edges where weights would have rubbed.. 33" high x 18 1/2" wide x 6 deep in maximum dimensions. Clock may be a bit dusty still overall. Please check my other listings for more great clocks. I combine packing when possible. It must be "level" to keep good time. I check e-mails every day, but allow adequate time for a response. They believe buyers get confused by this.
