Circa 1880 Seth Thomas Mahogany Cased Ships Bulkhead Clock. The clock is housed in a mahogany barrel case.

The white enamel face has roman numerals with a seconds dial just below the 12 o'clock position as well as an adjustment lever. The two keyholes are placed in between the 8/9 o'clock & 3/4 o'clock positions. The face surround is of steel.

The mechanism is a double wind, lever escapement, eight day, time only movement. It is stamped'Seth Thomas Thomaston Conn. America' as well as the company logo. It comes with a replacement key. Dimensions The dial has a diameter of 5.5 inches (13.9 cm).

The clock has a diameter of 7.5 inches (19 cm) & a depth of 4.5 inches (11.4 cm). It weighs 2.23 kg.

Condition The clock is in good working order but has not been serviced. Some of the paint on the numerals is worn & chipped. The window catch is absent. The wood has 3 holes measuring 0.7 cm below the six o'clock position from a prior mounting and some white paint traces along the right hand side but remains in otherwise good order.
