SETH THOMAS 1900's ELBA ADAMANTINE MANTLE CLOCK - Case Restored - Needs Spring. Shown is an original old antique clock from the early 1900's.From a picture I found, it is a Seth Thomas "ELBA" model from around the late 1800's / early 1900's. The case was cleaned and polished 8 years ago, and the feet and finale were also cleaned or painted. The spring broke about 3 years ago.
I took off the hands and was going to have it fixed, but could not take movement out for fear it would spring out at me, so I left it intact. I still have the hands and hardware, as well as the pendulum hanger. Where I live, there are no antique clock fixers. Someone who fixes clocks will get a nice clock. You will need to fix the 4-1/2 movement with a new spring or put in another 4-1/2 or 3-5/8 movement, and you will have a clock that you can keep or resell.
