Seth Thomas Beloit City Series Mantle Clock. This adorable Walnut shelf clock is one of the rarest of the Seth Thomas city series clocks. I have personally never seen nor owned one of these scare clocks until now.It has an 8 day time and strike brass Lyre spring driven movement marked ST and 5 7/8, signed Seth Thomas Thomaston Conn. And a separate spring driven alarm feature, all completely overhauled and in top running condition. Original finish is in nearly perfect untouched condition. Painted 6 zinc dial with Roman numerals in perfect condition. Coiled cathedral gong and a pretty silvered damascene pendulum bob. The glass has a silver silkscreen design with a cute hummingbird and flowers. There is a date stamp on the back 5881L (made in 1885 December see photo). There are burled accents all over on the front, carved rosettes, teardrop finials, and turned candle holders on each side wood clock with candle holders? Maybe get those flickering fake candles? Inside there is a label that is in wonderful condition. Here is your opportunity to own a very hard to find American shelf clock in museum quality condition.
This clock is near mint, they dont get much nicer for a 133 year old clock. Dimensions are Height 22, Width 15, Depth 5, and Weight 5 lbs. The Time Wizard Clock Repair & Sales. Owned and operated by Brian and Shanen Pendleton. 40 Years Experience NAWCC Member # 43717 Since 1975.
