Seth Thomas Mahogany Parma, circa 1913
Seth Thomas Mahogany "Parma", circa 1913. Beautiful mahogany case with contrasting marquetry on the sides and front of the case. The 5 porcelain dial is set in a substantial brass. Clock stands 12 1/4 high.
The clean finish is original to the clock and very attractive with slight alligatoring. Minor flaws typical of most antiques include missing grommet at left (strike train) winding arbor and very slight scratch on dial glass. Clock is fully functional, having been cleaned, overhauled, and lubricated. Eight day time and strike movement sounds hours and half-hours with a pleasant sound on a coiled gong. This clock will be a nice addition to any horologic collection.
