Seth Thomas "Shasta" Model Adamantine Mantle Clock Beautiful Works Chime Adjustment needed. Made by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. Serpentine top, celluloid drum sides, full round celluloid columns, paw feet, brass bezel and beveled glass crystal. The signed Seth Thomas 8 day time and strike movement is in good running order - keeps great time. Bell chime on the half hour and counts the hours.
The count wheel seems to not wish to engage much of the time. Needs to be adjusted or oiled.
Could be a simple fix. Clock is a strong runner. The "Adamantine" laminate finish is in good shape for its age; The. Colors of greens, reds, blacks and more are excellent considering its age.
The brass bezel and gilded paw feet appear to be original finish and show normal tarnish and light wear. The paper dial is very good. No stains or oil stains and only light age patina. The original solid brass dial pan is still intact and excellent. The clock measures approximately 18" wide x 11-3/4" high x 7 deep.Complete with its key and pendulum, it is ready to set up on your mantle or any room in the house.
