Today I present to you a Stunning 1931 Art Deco Seth Thomas Catalan alarm-clock in a striking color combination I call "SWIRLS O GREEN". The years of oxidation removed, and the Catalin polished, uncovering hidden patterns , restoring it to its original splendor... It is a very dark green and very hard to photograph..
Subtle swirls throughout the clock create a very striking example of the beauty of Catalan Do not let this one get by. The clock and alarm work, but cleaning would be recommended if used regularly..
Cleaning should be done every two to three years. Clock will be carefully packed. Noticed a small scratch visible on edge of dial glass, so I'm replacing it..In the world of Catalin collectors there are the purists who demand oxidized originality, and those of us that truly love their colors restored.. Vibrant, beautiful, magnificent as when they were NEW.
There really is NO need for insulting emails like the one I I received, telling me I destroyed the clock by removing its ugly Brown oxidation, turning it into nothing more than a doorstop, as this one rude arrogant narrow-minded, sorry excuse of a human being did.. We all like what we like... There is NO need to insult anothers personal preferences..
