Vintage 1935 Seth Thomas Merrimac Brass Ship's Bell Porthole Clock Navy Maritime
It features a 5" silvered dial as viewed through the bezel, which measures 6" in full diameter, with screened Arabic numerals in black and metal spade hands. SETH THOMAS is marked below the center arbor and Made in U. Is marked below the "6". The cartridge brass case features a hinged bezel, and unique perforated bottom, which allows sound to escape and resonate. The flange has three holes for providing for a bulkhead mounting.
The outside diameter is 7" and its depth is 4". It has served at sea, and the case shows use. It is unpolished, and in its original condition. The Merrimac is a striking and historical piece to display as is - restored to its former glory it would be a true collector's item.
