Nice Seth Thomas 8-Day Time and Strike Adamantine Mantel Clock Circa 1904 Working Well. This is a really nice antique Seth Thomas 8-day time and strike Adamantine mantel clock. It features a black onyx finish with embossed scrollwork, four half columns, brass lion's head handles and ornate brass feet. It has beautiful green marbleized Adamantine colors. It measures 17 1/4" wide including the feet, 7 3/8" deep and 11 5/8 tall.
It has an ornate brass door frame with heavy beveled glass. The dial is marked Seth Thomas and shows some aging and wear and features a round ornate brass center piece. The bottom is stamped with the date code "4091 I" which stands for September of 1904. It runs well and strikes a gong at the top of the hour with the correct number of hours and a bell once at the bottom of the hour. The condition overall is very nice.
There is a tiny crease in the top black edge near the front that is barely noticeable. The Adamantine finish is near perfect with a small chip on the front right corner just above the base.
