Seth Thomas "Berkley" Model Mantel Clock. Reference: Seth Thomas Clocks & Watches, Ly, Page 288, No. Here is a model that does not often come up for sale.
Mahogany case is overall nice with overall crazing to finish, but it does has a nice easy shine and I actually like the way it looks. It also has minor scrapes, nicks and wear consistent with age, but nothing major and everything can be seen in photo. This one has a beautiful and near mint porcelain cream colored dial and a heavy cast brass Rococo bezel. The clock also has the original heavy beveled glass. The hands are also original and very nice and the case still has the original solid brass feet. The original signed movement is running and keeping time and is 8-day time and strike, striking a cupped bell on the half hour and a gong on the hour. The movement is dirty and will need a cleaning/oiling service for extended use. My guess is that maybe one of the arbors was replaced at some point during a service, but it does not affect the operation of the clock.
