Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Striking Dome Top Mantle Clock. This fine clock was made by The Seth Thomas Clock Co. In Thomaston, Connecticut, USA during the earlier 1900's. It features a quality Seth Thomas #89 movement which has been cleaned and is in good running order, keeping time and gonging properly. The "Adamantine" finish, which is a patented laminate finish from the late 1800's, is in very good shape for its age.

You usually will notice a little shrinkage at the corners and edges and some cracking here and there, as well as plenty of minor dings, dents and scuffs, which is the nature of the Adamantine finish. It is a thin celluloid type laminate over soft wood, and so shrinks, cracks and dents fairly easily with just normal use over time. But this one is in remarkable shape for its age and is in about as nice condition as you will find.

The original painted dial and brass bezel assembly is also in very nice shape for its age. The dial shows gentle age and the brass is tarnished, but it would be hard to find one this old in any better condition.

It also comes complete with a key and the original pendulum. The measurements are 8 ½" wide x 10 ¾" high x 5 ½ deep. This helps insure that the new owner will have a satifying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final, (with the exception noted below).

It is nearly impossible to find one in "mint" condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. If a clock is running properly when it arrives...
