Has a nice deep sound. The Adamantine Clock was Patented September 7, 1880. The estimated manufactured date of this clock was around 1904. Has a b eautiful ornate dial with the Seth Thomas Manufacturing logo. The clock comes with a key and pendulum.
This clock will only go up in value if properly maintained. Seth Thomas is well known for their "Adamantine" mantel clocks, which were made starting in 1882. Adamantine is a celluloid veneer, glued to a wood case. Adamantine veneer was made in black and white and in colored pattern, such as wood grain, onyx and marble. Adamantine is a very durable finish which ages extremely well when properly cared for and kept out of direct sunlight.
