This a fully and properly restored Seth Thomas "DERBY" model clock from 1913 that is in Beautiful condition and has been fully restored. A Petite size standing only 8 1/2 high. The most beautiful original mahogany cabinet has been thoroughly restored, polished and waxed and presents Beautifully with few flaws. Please see all of the high resolution photos.
This petite clock stands only 8 1/2 inches tall but has a fantastic original Seth Thomas 48j 8 dayTime and strike movement that keeps very good time. The original enameled Seth Thomas porcelain dial is in fantastic condition and has few flaws and is the perfect window to this classic and elegant antique clock.
The brass bezel has been thoroughly cleaned and polished to a shiny luster and the door opens and closes as it should. The original hour and minute hands have been reblued and complete this classic and beautiful face of the clock. The original Seth Thomas 8 day movement has been disassembled and all parts cleaned ultrasonically and hand polished. The mainsprings that power the clock have been removed from their arbors and properly cleaned and greased and are very strong. The wheel pivots polished and pinions cleaned and 5 bushings have been properly installed, the movement then properly reassembled adjusted and oiled.
It keeps very good time. The clock chimes a pleasant single strike on the half hour and a full strike on a coiled cathedral gong on the hour. This petite clock measures only 8 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches wide by 5 1/2'' deep.A most splendid and classic functional time piece that could be proudly displayed and enjoyed in any room in your home for generations to come. This clock needs to be wound on both sides weekly with the included original 2 sided key, small end is for fast/slow adjustment through the front of dial. I would also make myself available for setup and ongoing care. Please check out my other items for more fully restored antique clocks.
