Fresh from an Arkansas estate is this SETH THOMAS CRYSTAL REGULATOR Brass clock that measures 10 INCHES tall. The clock runs for 8 days and strikes on the half hour and the hour. The clock has BEVELED GLASS on the front, sides, and back door---which opens and closely correctly and the original Pendulum and brass key. For a clock that is over 100 years old, the clock is in AMAZING original condition.
The clock has recently been cleaned and adjusted but may need minor adjustment after mailing. Seth Thomas, who lived in Connecticut, worked for Eli Terry in 1807. Thomas bought the Terry company. Brass movements were introduced in 1842.
Many Seth Thomas clocks manufactured between 1881---1918 have a date code stamped in ink on the case back or bottom. Usually, the year is done in reverse, followed by a letter A-L representing the month. For example, April 1897 would appear as 7991 D.
On the underside of this clock is " 2 00". I will BUBBLE WRAP and DOUBLE BOX for better security in mailing.
