Handsome running Seth Thomas Empire mantle clock. Clock chimes on each hour correlating to the numerical position of the short hand. Also chimes once each time it passes the half hour mark. The clock has been running for 48 hours at the time of this listing, only stopping when the clock was moved to photograph the base. It has lagged a few minutes behind the digital clock that I synced it to.

I would suggest having the clock serviced, cleaned and balanced if you are purchasing this to keep accurate time. I have not wound the clock nor do I know when it was most recently wound. I don't know the proper way to wind this clock either. I simply pushed the pendulum after rehanging it, and the clock has been ticking away since.

I did test the key to be sure it actually fit the pins. The clock measures approximately 11 inches tall x 7 inches wide x 5 inches deep. All beveled glass windows on four sides are in excellent shape as pictured. Both doors open and close well.

Shows aging and patina on brass surfaces. I did not polish the brass or attempt to clean the clock in any way.

Porcelain clock face is as pictured with some minor wear around the key holes. This must have occurred sometime before I acquired the clock. Overall the face is in amazing condition.
