This is a original matched set of hard to find, Seth Thomas P&S Finials. They came off a Seth Thomas Pillar and scroll Parts clock from the later 1820's. They are made in four parts where the bowel is a upper and lower spun brass. The upper turned brass post is tapped and threaded on one end.
The lower post is also turned brass with a steel "threaded on top end" pressed through. Two have a small dent or two, shown. This set has been polished and look almost new, which is a matter of taste.
If left untouched they would be a dark brown color with the 190 years age showing. The bowl part is 1 1/2 in dia.And will sit on clock at about 3 1/2 tall... Anyway a very nice set if you own one of the early rare Seth Thomas Pillar and scroll clocks.
These would be a great to top it off. The item "SETH THOMAS PILLAR AND SCROLL URN STYLE FINALS Ca. 1820's" is in sale since Saturday, July 28, 2018.
