Antique 1880s Seth Thomas 30 hour Mantle Clock withAlarm Federal Style Runs Great
For sale here is a beautiful antique late 1800's Federal style shelf or mantle clock by Seth Thomas. This is an early 30 hour clock and runs fine. The alarm works fine too.
This is a beautiful light bell chime clock that only chimes the hour. Many early clocks did not chime the half hour. The works are marked Seth Thomas. This clock has been repainted and refinished so it is a wonderful gloss black, mahogany and gold color.
The original gallery glass is a reverse stenciled gold Eastlake design and is GORGEOUS. There is a small brass gallery window below where you can see the brass pendulum moving back and forth. This clock measures 16" tall x 11" wide x 4 3/4 deep. It has a beautiful light bell chime and is very elegant in its Federal design.
Don't let the photos fool you, this is a VERY old 1800s clock. It would be a wonderful addition to any home.
