Antique Seth Thomas Outlook No. 2 - 1921 Mantle Clock Runs 8 Day Time/Strike. Up for sale this week is this wonderful little Seth Thomas cabinet clock. It appears to be the Seth Thomas Outlook No. 2 as identified in Tran Duy Ly's 3rd Edition of Seth Thomas Clocks & Movements Volume 1. It has a mahogany veneer case, porcelain dial, original hands and possibly pendulum. The key is a Seth Thomas, but probably a replacement. The case has not been refinished and has no flaws that I could find. The clock measures 10 3/4 inches high, 8 1/4 inches wide and 5 inches deep.
The glass is convex and is in good condition. The brass bezel shows a great patina. It fits snugly, but is a little tricky to keep closed. It isn't a problem, but I thought it should be mentioned. The clock is in very good to excellent condition.
It is a gorgeous clock, is currently running and keeping good time. I had this clock on my mantle for the past six months. Time for a different one. The pictures are part of the description.
