Antique Seth Thomas Westminster Chime Mantle Clock
Please consider this Seth Thomas 8 day mantle clock with the Westminster chimes. The clock is 20 inches wide, 9 and 1/2 inches tall and 6 and 1/2 inches deep. The clock movement is marked as Seth Thomas 124. The movement was very clean when received so it has been carefully inspected and then run for three weeks to verify good timekeeping and chiming.
The clock plays the Westminster melody at each quarter hour and then also counts the number of the hour on the hour. The wood case has the original finish and is in good condition, a few scuffs and marks but quite minor for the age of the clock. The dial is metal with raised brass numbers and presents very well.
Glass over the dial is beveled and in good shape. Both the front bezel and rear door operate correctly. The pendulum and key both appear to be original to the clock.
Good Seth Thomas instruction card inside the rear door. Original Seth Thomas label on the bottom states model 99 walnut.
