1913 - 1921 Seth Thomas Amherst 8-Day Wind 10.5 English Cabinet Clock Tested. Brass has some scratches and tarnish. Glass is solid but may have very light scratches.

Porcelain face has a crack near the number 2. Wood finish is excellent with some light scratches but very little chipping / cracking, except for the bottom with some light surface scratches / cracks. Movement is tested working and keeps consistent and accurate time. As with all mechanical clocks, the movement may lose / gain a few seconds per day.

Chime works well as shown in video but occasionally will strike too many times. Strikes at about 1 minute past hour / half hour. This is a self-correcting clock so if it strikes to much, it will correct itself within the next few sequences. This clock was first introduced around 1913 per the ST catalogs I have access too. By 1922 the Amherst model had changed in design but still had the same height / shape.

It is difficult to know the exact year but it seems to be made between 1913 to 1921 See pics for more details. Due to the volatile nature of collectible. Signature required for those with less than 20 Feedback.
