This is a Seth Thomas Mantle clock from an estate in Nelson Wisconsin. The lady that passed was the daughter of original owners. This beautiful clock was a wedding gift in early 1915.
The clock is dated on bottom. It strikes on the hour and single bell strike on half hour. This clock has been serviced and has new suspension spring. It runs great and keeps good time. The fast and slow adjustment works as intended.
It appears the clock is 100% original including directions on back cover. As seen in photos this clock is in nice condition. There is one flaw in case finish as seen in photo # 10. This flaw is hardly noticeable unless pointed out and could be darkened with stain.
If the clock is at eye level, chip cannot be seen at all. There were two Clocks at this estate and the keys may have gotten switched. This key fits this clock but is stamped Ansonia Clock Co. This clock measures 14" wide X 12" high X 6 1/2 deep. Please check photos as they are a large part of description. Any questions, please contact me. Thanks for taking a look.
