This great antique Seth Thomas mantel clock is fresh from a local estate. Measures 15" wide by 11" tall by 5.75 deep. It is made of wood with lovely faux marble finish. I think the marbled exterior is made with celluloid veneers, rather than marbled paper. Celluloid was used to make faux ivory, faux tortoiseshell, etc.
During the late 1800's and has a hard, smooth finish that is pleasant to the touch and not cold like stone. As you can see, this item is in very good condition for its age, with some light overall wear. It has no key and needs a new pendulum as well. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
