Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Time and Strike Clock In Running Condition Classic. This nice looking clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, Conn. This model features a signed Seth Thomas #120 movement which has been cleaned and serviced and is in good running and gonging order. It counts out each hour, i. 1 chime at 1:00, 2 chimes at 2:00, etc.
On a high quality flat (possibly bronze) gong that has a great resonating sound, and announces each half hour with a single toll. The case is classic in style and craftsmanship. It is still in the original finish which has developed an amazing evenly alligatored or crackled texture that you don't often see. The original silvered dial has quite a bit of age staining that gives it good age character and a genuine antique appearance.
The case measures 21 ½" wide x 9 ½" high x 6 deep. This is a clock that can be enjoyed by the whole family now, and then handed down later for future generations to enjoy. It will surely rise steadily in value over time as these Seth Thomas clocks are considered a cherished prize by most clock collectors.This was actually the practice of the Seth Thomas Clock Co. We will include easy to re-install instructions, which basically requires putting the gong stand back in its hole and fastening the nut. It comes complete with the pendulum and key.
