This is a fully restored Seth Thomas Adamantine finish mantel clock from 1924 that is in fantastic original condition and presents as it did over 100 years ago. The original Adamantine red mahogany finish shows few flaws and has been hand polished.
The original brass bezel has been removed and polished and the bezel door opens and closes as it should. The original dial has few flaws and presents beautifully. The hour and minute hands are original. The brass feet have been removed and hand polished. Pleas see all of my high resolution photos. The original ST 89 movement has been cleaned by hand. The mainsprings that power the clock have been cleaned and greased and are very lively.
The movement, properly oiled and adjusted. It has been tested and keeps excellent time and strikes pleasantly once on the half hour and the correct number of hours on the hour on it's classic cathedral gong. The Clock needs to be wound weekly on both arbors with the original 2 sided key that is also used for the fast/slow adjustment through the dial.
