Antique Seth Thomas Column and Cornice Weight Driven Clock Ca. 1885 Beautiful

  

This exquisite antique Seth Thomas clock is a true piece of history. Crafted from beautiful mahogany wood, this rectangular clock features a stunning column and cornice design, as well as an analog display type. An old pendulum is in the case but I don't know that it was for this clock mechanism. The hook on the pendulum is broken as shown.

The movement moves but needs a pendulum to regulate the speed as it runs very quickly. The glass has waves in it and looks original. It has a mirror in the bottom section.

This would be a great project to fully restore with little to nothing needed to be done to the case. It would also make a beautiful decorative piece of you wanted something to dress up your home. The case measures 24 1/2" tall, 14 3/4" wide, and 4 1/4 deep.
