The clock movements have been cleaned and tested so the clock is in good operating condition for both time and chime functions. The movements are marked with the Seth Thomas symbol and model numbers 89AE and 90D. The clock plays the Westminster melody at each quarter hour and then also counts the number of the hour on the hour, all using the bells.
The wood case is coated in the adamantine finish and is in great condition. It may not be perfect but is very close. The dial is metal and presents well for the age, carries the Seth Thomas name. The brass bezel over the dial works OK and this one has a additional brass latch that was probably added later. Not really needed but removal would now leave a hole.
Feet are brass and in great shape. Pendulum appears to be original to the clock while the key is a newer correct replacement.
