Antique Seth Thomas Westminster Mantle Clock-Two Movements

  

Offering a antique Seth Thomas 8 day mantle clock with the Westminster chimes using a two movement design. The clock is 14 inches tall, 10 inches wide and 7 and 1/2 inches deep, big heavy clock. The movements have been cleaned and tested so are in good operating condition for both time and chime functions. The movements are marked as Seth Thomas and models 119 and 89AM.

The clock plays the Westminster melody at each quarter hour and then also counts the number of the hour on the hour. One of the notes sounds a little off to my ear but I have been accused of being tone deaf on several occasions. The wood case has the original finish and is in good shape for the age of the clock, a couple of minor scuffs and dings.

The dial is metal, marked with the Seth Thomas name and shows some age. Both the front bezel and rear door operate correctly. Has the chime off lever on the side.
