Seth Thomas 12 inch Drop Octagon Schoolhouse Clock

  

Short drop, school house clock, or as the catalogs call it, the "12 Inch Drop Octagon". Likely made in the 1930's, it is an 8 day, time only, pendulum movement. The mechanism was ultrasonically cleaned, adjusted and oiled by an expert recently. The clock is signed by ST and running well. The clock's case features a nice gold painted stripe around the perimeter.

The 12-inch dial retains its original painted dial with some fading of the numerals. Additionally, there is some chipping of the paint crazing from age on the dial (clock face). This adds to the charm!
