Seth Thomas Orchid 4 Crystal Regulator Original Genuine Mercury Pendulum c. 1909

  

This is a circa 1909 Seth Thomas Orchid 4 Crystal Regulator mantle clock. A beautiful example with the original, genuine Mercury pendulum. This is the real thing and not the faux pendulum you see on many of these clocks. The porcelain dial is in perfect condition free of any defects.

Has a brass case with four sides of beveled glass. Clock strikes a coil gong on the hour and half-hour. Movement was cleaned and re bushed about a year ago.

Measures 10-3/4 tall and 6-1/2 wide. Some minor scratching to case. All glass is intact and flawless. Doors on the front and rear allow full access to the movement.

The Orchid 4 was the only Seth Thomas Crystal Regulator to have the top attached with four external screws that remained visible.
