Seth Thomas "Queen Anne" Walnut Wall Clock. This clock was made by The Seth Thomas Clock Company of Thomaston, Conn.. The name of this beautiful clock is the Queen Anne. Queen Anne was born in 1665. She ruled Britain, Ireland, and Scotland from 1702 to 1707.
In 1707 Scotland won their independence and she continued to rule Britain and Ireland until her death in 1714. This is an 8 day timepiece only spring driven movement No. 8 painted metal dial with black Roman numerals and the ST logo. The dial was professionally restored by The Dial House in Georgia in 1993.Beautiful Damaskeened Nickle pendulum, which is not a common feature on this clock. There is the black label inside on the bottom, as well as a wooden pendulum indicator, which makes this an early version, see photo. The Case is made of Walnut and is in wonderful condition on the top balcony there is what appears to be some wear and discoloration. (however you cannot see it once hung) The door is key lock (same as winding). Dimensions are Height 36", Width 13", Depth 5, and Weight 17lbs. Circa 1880 140 Years old!
