Seth Thomas Short Drop School House Clock. This clock was made by The Seth Thomas Clock Company of Thomaston, Connecticut. Some call this a "Short drop", "Octagon", or "School House" clock. School houses had these in the class rooms, however, most of them were non-striking. Painted zinc dial with black Roman numerals that is in wonderful condition.

Reversed painted pendulum window in black and gold. 8 day head and shoulder movement that counts out the hour on a gong. Original label inside see photos. On the back is stamped 7881 K which means made in November of 1887. Dimensions are Height 23.5", Width 16", Depth 4, and Weight 7 lbs.
