Seth Thomas WW11 Mark-1 Deck Clock U. Navy, 38406 1941, Keeps Time. A replacement winding key is included. The inside clock face is plastic measuring approximately 5 5/8" Diameter, the OD of the Bakelite case is approximately 6 3/4" Diameter. The back measures approximately 7 1/4" Diameter and the total depth is 4".
The black Bakelite case has wear, marks and scratches from use and 2 small cracks (see photos) The cracks are where the thumb screw goes through for opening towards the bottom. (see photos) It doesn't interfere with the tightening of the front of the clock to the back of the clock. The 2 knobs on the bottom were for an electrical connection, probably to light the face of the clock. Whose job was it to wind the clock?
A great piece of U. The 2 nubs protruding from the bottom of the Clock are for wires that turn the light on every so often. He said that it is rare. This feature must have saved lots of lives!
