This ULTRA RARE and ORIGINAL movement was used in the Seth Thomas No 1. Office Calendar Double Dial Clock version 1. The movement runs at 90 BPM using a deadbeat escapement. Two versions of the movement were used in the No. 1 Office Calendar clock and are physically interchangeable. This movement is the 1. Version made by Seth Thomas. Only this version of the movement was used in the limited production cases. See Seth Thomas Clock & Movements by Tran Duy Ly, pg 33. Version of the movement is identified by the use of tapered pins to secure the front plate to the posts. Missing the calendar gear/shaft to drive lower dial.

Version circa 1867 movement details. This version uses tapered pins to secure the top plate to the posts.

The weight fall for 8-days is (0.560")(2?)(1.5-turns/day)(8-days)/2 = 21".)(Great tooth count/Ctr pinion leaves)(2-turns/day)(8-days)/(#weight cable folds). 128/8 = 16, therefore 1-day = 1.5-turns. Please see pictures as they are an integral part of the description.
