Antique Seth Thomas Mantle Clock, Cymbal # 1 fully restored. This is a very unique and beautiful Seth Thomas Tambour Mantle Clock "Cymbal #1 model " that has been fully restored and keeps very good time and is complete. The very unique #89 Movement has been thoroughly inspected, cleaned, oiled and adjusted and has been thoroughly tested for weeks using the Timetrax Clock timing Machine and runs as it did in 1924, it keeps very good time. The clock features a double strike on two accurately tuned spiral gongs of different tone that chime once on the half hour and the correct number of double strikes on the hour (see video). The case has been fully restored and is most beautiful with its flame mahogany finish and ornate carving detail in front that is both unique and elegant, it presents as it did in 1924.

The brass bezel has been hand polished and the dial is in excellent overall condition showing little wear. This is an 8 day clock that needs to be wound on both sides weekly.

This is a most splendid example of a well functioning Seth Thomas Tambour clock that can be proudly displayed and enjoyed on any mantel, in any parlor, den or any any room in your home for many years to come.
