Henry Dreyfuss pioneered the field of industrial design. His work defined the aesthetic for much of 1930s and 40s American life, including the John Deere 1010, Western Electric Model 500 telephone, the T87 circular thermostat, the Mercruy train and the Banker's Trust Building in Manhattan. He also designed a great number of clocks. This model is the "Dickson Table Clock", which he designed for the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Connecticut.
Dimensions: 4.5" x 5" x 2. Condition: This works, but it requires extensive cleaning. There is some growth under the glass. There is also oxidation on the back panel and the finish on the wood is cracking. There are also some burn marks on the prongs, it was clearly arcing at some point - possible due to the wiring in it's previous owners home. The wood frame also has some discoloration around the edge.
