THIS CLOCK IS PRE-OWNED VINTAGE SETH THOMAS EXETER-W-E538-001 MANTLE CHIME CLOCK THAT WAS MADE IN 1962. RARE WITH THE MOVABLE REAR WINDOW DOOR THAT ALLOWS ONE TO SEE THE CLOCK'S INNER MECHANISM AND TWO KNOBS ON BACK.

THIS CLOCK HAS A STRONG, SMOOTH RUNNING, 8 DAY MOVEMENT THAT HAS BEEN KEEPING GOOD TIME. BEAUTIFUL DIAL WITH ROMAN NUMBERS, NO SCRATCHES OR CHIPS IN THE GLASS.

THE BACK DOOR OPENS AND CLOSES PROPERLY AS THEY SHOULD YOU CAN HEAR THE CHIME IN THIS MODEL EACH HALF HOUR. CLOCK STRIKES ONCE EACH HALF HOUR, FOLLOWED BY CHIME STRIKES THE AMOUNT OF TIMES CORRESPONDING WITH THE TIME AT THE MOMENT. YOU CAN ALSO PUT THE CLOCK IN SILENT.
