Offered here is a vintage Seth Thomas 8 day key wind walnut case bracket. This model is the'Legacy' and it has a German made balance wheel movement. It appears to be all original and is running and chiming well and keeps good time.
There are five (5) brass rods that strike the Westminster chimes. Every quarter hour and it strikes a three rod chord counting the hour at the top. The chimes can also be silenced if desired with a lever by the 3 on the face.
The brushed metal and brass dial is 6 across which shows'Seth Thomas'. The face shows no marks and the glass is clean.The walnut wood case is in very nice condition with a couple minor marks. There is no damage or any repairs that were noted. Please view all pictures for details. The back plate is stamped with information and movement number (A403-001). MADE IN GERMANY' and a date code of 1982.
Measurements are 12" tall, not counting the brass top handle, 11" wide and 7 deep. This is a beautiful high quality vintage clock that looks great and is working smoothly. The chimes sound rich and sweet. I report all known conditions of the clocks I sell but I do not service them. And a routine cleaning service is recommended at some point.
