A beautiful fully restored inside and out Seth Thomas Chime #75 Westminster chiming clock all original. The fantastic original #113 three train movement (considered by many as Seth Thomas' finest) has been completely disassembled, The powerful mainsprings were removed from their barrels and properly cleaned and greased. All parts were cleaned ultrasonically as well as by hand. The wheel pivots polished and 6 brass bushings were properly added.
The movement was then reassembled and all trains properly adjusted and tested for a week using the Timetrax clock timing machine before being put back into the restored cabinet. The clock keeps very good time and strikes precisely on the quarter hour. The solid Mahogany cabinet with original restored antique finish has been thoroughly cleaned, reconditioned and polished and presents beautifully. The heavy brass bezel has been hand polished and has a thick beveled crystal convex glass. The original silvered Dial is in good original condition with typical blemishes, and the door opens and closes as it should. The clock strikes the familiar Westminster chimes precisely on the patented precision tuned resonant "Mayland" Chime rods with 4 notes on the quarter hour, 8 notes on the half hour, 12 notes on the three quarter hour and the traditional 16 note chime on the hour followed by the correct number of chimes on a separate deep sounding 5th Rod. The chimes can be silenced if desired. This is a premium Seth Thomas clock and is most splendid and could be proudly enjoyed for many years and passed on to future generations. The clock needs to be wound weekly on all 3 arbors with included key and would be packed with great care.
As always, I would make myself available for any help needed with setup and ongoing care. Please check out my feedback and other items for more of my fully restored antique clocks.
