It's the same concept as the Seth Thomas Ding Dong strike clocks, however instead of bells, it strikes two metal rods that have a deeper, richer sound than the bells on the Ding Dong strike. This comes with a vintage Seth Thomas key, but I cannot guarantee it's original to this clock. The key has a slight bend in one of the handles, but is solid, and I've been using it for over 15 years. This clock runs well and keeps great time, but also features the capability to easily change the movement to run a little faster or slower if required. Thank you for looking, and questions are welcomed.
The steps they go through to control the process are ridiculous! 16-1/4" wide x 9-1/4" tall x 5-1/8 deep.
